ReplyDeleteThis is an expectation for myself I've learned to let go of, having decided that taking advantage of a few opportunities is still better than none. That is, I think the comparison shouldn't be "At the end of this year will you have extracted every possible fabulous experience out of this time?" but "At the end of this year will you have had a lot of wonderful experiences that you wouldn't have had if you'd stayed home?"
